Cracking classic looking watch. Leather strap will take a little breaking in but that’s to be expected

Really pleased with this watch, Great look and size on the wrist, swiss movement, what more can you ask for especially at this pricepoint. The leather strap is ok i will swap it out but thats the beauty of this watch, works with all sorts of straps options. Overall very happy.

The quality of the watch is excellent, the fit, the finish and the accuracy it is keeping is of a higher order than I could have expected. Currently the watch is gaining 1 second per day which compared with my other automatic timepieces is simply remarkable.

Excellent field watch. The elongated second hand sweeps beautifully and I really like the fact that the stylised point of the minute hand sits perfectly on the minute markers. Its attention to detail that helps make the watch super legible. The polished chapter ring is also a nice contrast against the otherwise brushed steel case so typical of field watches it just gives the watch a more dressy feel and makes it a little more versatile. The leather strap is thick and of excellent quality as someone who has bough many an after market strap I know and feel the difference. The watch has a display case back, this is interesting to those buying their first automatic, but the movement isnt the prettiest even if Hamilton has made the rotor their own with a nice engraving. The movement itself is a very reliable workhorse movement - proper Swiss quality with a decent power reserve. The movement is of course hack able and hand winding - meaning it works off the kinetic movement of your wrist, but can also be hand wound. Hacking just allows setting to the second. Im getting about 5 seconds + or minus a day at present, but your mileage may vary a little. Domed sapphire crystal on the front, possibly on the back though unsure - best check that yourself. The clasp has Hamilton nicely etched on it and is part brushed and part polished as by way of finish, again a nice touch. On the dial a magnifying glass reveals one level of the dial having a grooved finnish akin to that of a record player. The day/date has a quick time function where it quickly snaps/flips to the new day/date when the time nears 12pm. The full day display on the watch is a feature I really like, though be aware this cuts into the numerals you would otherwise expect to see from 11, 12 and 1. Some people may not like that. The crown is not screw down and that might disappoint some, but in the plus side the crown guard is welcome and the crown feels solid in use. If you like to wear your watch tight, be aware the clasp can scratch your skin a little and be a little irritating. Also be aware the watch strap takes a few days to wear in and is a little too stiff at first. This watch is a slow burn for me in that it takes a few days to appreciate, but then you find you really appreciate it. It wears well with almost anything and you could wear this with any kind of strap from metal and leather to NATOs. The watch was worn by Hugh Laurie in the U.S. Drama House.

I had my eye on this watch for a long time and decided to celebrate some recent events in my life and add this to my watch collection. It is a stylish, yet subtle piece. The only issue I have with it is that the strap is a little on the short side for my wrist so I am on the last holes on the strap. I will be swapping the strap out for a longer Hamilton strap.

This is a really lovely watch. We had it gift wrapped for my Son for his birthday. He lovely it. Well presented in a very professional Box it is well made and exudes quality.
The strap, although it is leather, is a lovely colour and sets off the watch very well. It is really thick and very well made, with no edges. The watch itself is beautifully put together. The size is perfect and the Day and date are easy to read.
Overall I would recommend this watch to anybody.

Lovely watch, exactly as described and really happy with it.

A simple stylish watch perfect for wearing at work but still smart enough for more formal wear. The protection around the button was a big factor as last watch dug into my wrist. The face is clear and the face size perfect for regular and continued wear. Strap is comfortable and well made. Really happy with this product. Many thanks.

This is a very attractive military-style watch, an American brand with a good Swiss automatic movement. For the first couple of days, the date and time did not advance properly at midnight, getting stuck between two days. But this seems to have cured itself - I guess a full revolution of the day wheel sorted it out. The leather strap is a little stiff out of the box, but I imagine this will soon become more supple.

Great watch from Hamilton! case finish quality was superb, comparable to those in higher price bracket.
Movement is reliable and keeping great time.
Brand itself has good pedigree and part of Swatch group - a giant in watchmaking industry.
Very recommended for those whos looking for daily watch but with restricted budget.

Watch is stylish, easy to read and very straight forward to operate - could not be happier.

I purchased my Hamilton watch purely on a whim and solely from browsing the website. I wanted a day/date display face with an automatic movement and this one fitted the bill. On its delivery I was very pleased with the watch although it wasnt working and I needed to set it up. If im honest the manual was not needed as it was relatively self intuitive however I had a little difficulty synchronising my day/date change with midnight rather than any other random time and after breaking the habit of a lifetime to consult the manual I was disappointed to discover that the instructions did not detail how to sort this out clearly but I worked it out eventually!
Overall I am pleased with the watch, I like the plain dark face and brown leather strap contrast and its no nonsense look. It has subtle style yet traditional appearance and I am pleased with my purchase. However I will say that the image online gave the impression that the day/date window was easy to read whereas in the flesh it is a relatively small window in the face and I struggle to read the info without reading glasses, proof as if I needed it that at 51 I am getting old!

When I received the watch,it seemed exactly what I had ordered.
However on closer inspection I noticed the dial seemed blurred, and what looked like small bubbles in the glass.
WHAT !! HAMILTON, OH DEAR, NOT VERY IMPRESSED
Once I removed the protective film on the glass HA .HA all was once again exactly what I ordered.
If you are looking for a quality build auto. buy it.If you prefer a plastic quartz digital battery driven whatever.dont.
