A great G-Shock if you prefer an analogue dial. Not too large but still feels chunky and robust, ideal for a smaller wrist. Feels very high quality with crisp mouldings and lettering. Highly recommended. I'm sure this won't be my last G-Shock!

My first G-Shock: nice watch, easy to set up. Small -ve points: strap securing band slips allowing strap to flap free; hands hard to read in the dark; if you’re out in the cold or wet with gloves on, no way can you adjust/select different functions.

I am having this item on xmas day.
Good quality, robust, easy to use. Hands do cover the digital display at times but no hardship. Very happy with the product. Only issue is the strap retainer moves up the strap and can release the end of the strap at times, again no hardship. Point and shoot watch brilliant for work or outdoors.

Not as good as I thought it would be. The digital display is difficult to read in daylight and needs the back light when in duller conditions. The analogue hands could have been luminous to allow to be seen in the dark. The alarm sounder is very quite and could alarm for a longer period I found setting the watch was also a bit fiddly. Given a choice I would not buy this product again

Good solid robust watch
This watch is a winner for me, being a sporty, outdoors person who mountain bikes, kayaks and climbs I needed a tough, waterproof watch and this fits all criteria as well as looking nice. I have an average wrist size so the fits comes to around the 6th of 12 holes on the strap so would fit a much larger or smaller wrist too. In short the ideal budget price, tough, waterproof watch for any outdoor instructor

Watch performs all functions flawlessly,it looks quite bulky but because it is so lightweight its hardly noticeable
Only downside i have encountered is in setting analogue time if you go past the time you want you have to rotate the hands until the time comes around again as you cannot reverse the hands.
Rugged, waterproof with a nice analogue display, but the digital part of the watch where the alarm is is pants. The tiny digital display is almost invisible unless you get the angle just right in light that is just right and you have 20/20 vision. Casio realised it needed a backlight to display the digits, and it provides one, but then it made the dumbest decision to make it impossible to have the backlight on while setting the digital time and the alarm.

The watch is just about good enough to keep. If Id paid full price I would probably have returned it. I find the lack of a 2nd hand strangely irritating and its annoying not being able to see the digital display for a couple of hours every day when the hands cover it.

I purchased this watch to replace a similar one which has come to the end of its life due to the strap breaking where it is been repeatedly bent during the fitting to my wrist. The watch has proved to be reliable throughout its life having been using in a variety of environments.These have include wet areas such as those involved in water sports and manual work environments. the watch has become a little polished after all of this and the light does not work any more. If this replacement lasts as well as its predecessor,it represents excellent value for money, whilst being attractive to look at and easy to read both during day light and at night thanks to the fluorescent hands. It is less bulky than other more expensive G Shocks and fits nicely under a shirt when worn to work. I would recommend this as an excellent all round watch, that will prove to be reliable and sturdy for several years to come.

Great watch, protected from the bangs and potential scratches watches are often subjected to. The watch has the usual Casio simplicity so the functions are minimalist and very easy to use. Dark display makes the digital display a bit difficult to see and the light doesnt stay on long enough for my liking, but still very happy with it.

First reaction seeing it in the flesh, I think it's a great looking watch and doesn't look too big on my smallish wrists which was a worry! Most things about the watch are great. Having to scroll the time forward and not back and forward is a little frustrating when changing the time..(would of still purchased the watch anyway!) and how often do you change the time! watch hands don't illuminate as well as I thought.. all minor issues.. Best looking watch for the money! no contest :-) G shock thumbs up for this one...

Ive had one of these for over 10 years with only one battery change and - finally, after 11 years of constant use - the watch strap. So when I started looking for a watch for my autistic son that would be able to take the knocks...I knew I needed to look no further. It has fewer functions than most G-Shock watches but it does what it needs to do, well. Very well indeed. I know my son will enjoy his new watch - and although hes very hard on watches, I know this one can take it. Bonus point: ordered Sunday, delivered today - 2 days later. Lovely item, my husband has had one of these watches for over 15 years and we decided for fathers day to upgrade his old watch. The colours are great and look really stylish, if they are as hatd wearing as his old one hell have this for 15 years too.
Bought this product as I was starting a new job in a gym and needed something a bit sturdier than my previous watch. So far it has been amazing and hasnt even seen a scratch although it gets knocked fairly often. It was bit confusing to set the time at first but once I had Sussed it out its been perfect!

Bought this watch as a present for my 13 year old son. He pestered me for a G Shock for ages having never shown any real interest in watches before. I must say the Watch Shop were great easy too reader and it arrived exactly when they said it would. Very useful when you have a 13 year old coming home from school asking if it has arrived as soon as he gets into the street!
The watch is just right for him. Easy to set up, so much so that his mum managed to do it to keep him quiet before I got home from work. There is just enough functions on it to keep him interested and help him look even cooler than normal apparently. It fits fine and I am sure it will last him a good few years. My only fear is that hes so pleased with it it could lead to the same lex pensive obsession his dad has in watches.

My two criticisms are: the hands do not stand out terribly well from the background, and the luminescence on them is very poor.

The build is great but I would have preferred a better colour. The only problems I have are that the rear-end of the minute hand is too long so had to get used to knowing which side is which and the digital area is a bit small and can be covered by the watch hands. Being very petty here. Its a great watch.

Its a very good watch for the price it was at. The buttons are fairly small and it is very hard to look at the digital time, or change any of the modes, when the hands are over it but there is not much you can do about that. The digital font colour is quite dark against the background. Changing the analogue time is hard because if you go over, you must hold it down for a very long time to bring it back. There should be a button that lets you quickly look at the date.

great G-Shock. Not as big and chunky as other Gs which is what i wanted. The anologue hands are easy to read even at a quick glance, as other reviews have said the digital element is difficult to read at certain angles and when the big hand is on the 6, but it is not a problem because you just press the light button, sorted.
I love the red and black colour scheme. It was bought to wear to work as its a tough and sturdy watch. If youre looking for a not so chunky G-Shock then this is the one.

Well its got the G-Shock label which youre probably paying a lot for since its a basic digital analogue watch. It tells the time. Looks OK and thats about it. The digital display is so small its pretty well unreadable. Theres no illumination on the analogue files so fairly useless in the dark. Id suggest going for a highter spec.

I am very very pleased with this watch :-D i only have skinny wrists but the strap has many holes to suit my wrist and some spare which i was worried about before i purchased it. I love the colour of it black/red and it isnt to bulky , i would of preffered it if it had of had world time on it jst for that extra feature but im not complaining as it was only £51 and from the watch shop were as it is £69.99 for the same watch at Argos overall very very pleased :-D .It is the g-100-1bvmur casio gshock.
Good quality watch, excellent value for money. Easy to set , easy to read and looks nice, more sporty than smart though. Good rubber strap, does not feel flimsy. Watch feels sturdy and can withstand daily knocks in a furniture installation job.

If you have read any negative reviews,just ignore them this watch is excellent.The digital display is plenty bright enough to be able to read it and it is easy to read at night as the hands and the numbers are luminous,the alarm is nice and loud.The strap feels like it could last quite a while.
The overall appearance of the watch is good doesnt stand out to much but still looks like it costed more than it actually did and doesnt look cheap and plasticy. The only down sides are the face might scratch easily as it is softish glass and the hands sometimes cover the digital display but other than those 2 things it is great it is 200m water resistant but I will never go down that far but is is always nice to have that resistance. I would defenately recommend buying this watch.
Bought this watch for work as I already own a G-Shock G 1000 which I use for everyday use so I know how good G-Shocks are for durability so decided on a cheaper one.
The watch is ideal for what I wanted it for its not as big as some G SHOCK watches so doesnt get in the way and feels light and comfortable on the wrist to the point of not really noticing you are wearing it.
The watch has basic features compared to other models but that isnt a problem as it is really just for telling the time, dont be fooled by the price this watch is good quality and solid feeling aswell as looking good.
Overall if you are looking for a good quality, good looking watch that will cope with anything you throw at it for not alot of money then you could do worse than this watch.

I find the radius of the watch small for a man. Im quite disappointed but maybe because i did not pay attention to the detail of the description of the watch. It seems to be for a boy not for a man.

The Mens Casio G-Shock Alarm Chronograph Watch G-100-1BVMUR was purchased for a teenager, who loves the look and size of it. Some of the G-Shocks can be very chunky, this one is just right for someone with smaller wrists.The functions are basic, analogue and digital time, stopwatch and alarm, that was all he wanted. The build quality looks to be fine, but, only had it for a few weeks just. All in all he is very please with it.

Ive worn a citizen divers watch for years and wanted a change,the G-shock range had always appealed to me but I was worried of the size etc,i need not have worried,this watch looks and feels great,chunky yet not too heavy,precise and smart enough to wear out as well as during activities.

Monster of a watch! As soon as I saw the price I knew it was the one for me. My friend recently bought a G-shock for €180 so when I saw this was going for less then half, it had to be mine, I use it for sports eg football, gaelic training and going out with mates to! Its pretty much indestructible! Recommend it for everyone, if u want people to notice something, this will be it!

A sturdy hardwearing time piece and stopwatch for my son who is joining the Royal Navy.
It looks the part, rugged, stylish and not too large.
I bought this watch to wear at work, as I do a lot of manual handling and I needed something tough that wouldnt break easily I always end up bumping watches into things. The watch looks good and feels indestructible, one thing that I really like is that the crystal sits really deep in the case so it feels safer/less likely to receive an impact. It is quite light and not huge either which I prefer. However I felt that the side of the strap with the buckle is a bit shorter than I would like it to be so when Im wearing the watch the buckle sits more on the outside of my wrist which is quite uncomfortable. Also the underneath part of the lug feels uncomfortable too. When the watch is off its impossible to lay it flat as the band/lug assembly wont allow this so it will sit the same as when its being worn. The hands and other luminous parts inside are not the brightest at least nowhere near the same as my Luminox. Another issue is that when the hands are positioned above the digital display, they obscure it so its near impossible to tell what is being displayed. Also the actual negative display is really hard to read unless in good light conditions daytime, and when the light is being used, its only on for like two seconds so pretty useless if you were trying to set an alarm or use the stopwatch in the dark. The buttons could also be a bit easier to push. Overall I feel that for what I paid £51 its not exactly good value for money, but maybe thats just me being picky.

I wear G shocks because they suit my life style..I wear them surfing, MTB riding and as my work watch...Time keeping is faultless... Balls to automatic watches use casio battery powered mechanisms there so accurate!!
Very nice watch, simple to use, and fits nice around the wrist. Definitely worth getting if your looking to buy this type of watch but not wanting to spend too much on it. Setting up the times can be a bit of a long and tedious procedure, but once set up its sound.

Concern:
Durability of resin band. My experience with the durability of the resin band with previous Casio watches hasnt been pleasant.
Daily wear and tear of this timepiece might not give the same lasting life for the resin band as wearing it on occasion.
Also, original Casio replacement resin bands cost in the range of £12 - £20 inclusive of delivery.
This pricing would have been justified if it lasted longer.
I bought this watch as a present for my 35 year old son who works in the building industry. The colour, size and features are ideal for his needs but particularly the anti shock G shock element which is a must. He works in a heavy noisy environment and needs his watch to be

Light, robust and waterproof, hour hand would be better if larger, glass is well protected by a rim.

Bought 2 watches, one for an 11 year old and the 2nd for a 12 year old, both were the same style but different colours. The G Shock quality was as expected and was easy to use. The watches fitted just right, the faces were not too big that they dwarfed the childrens wrists. The watches had a light for the seeing the digital dials, however without the light on, even in normal daylight it was difficult to see the numbers. other than that they were a real bargain and the boys love them.

I was a little sceptical despite all the positive reviews I read on this watch. I bought this for my son for Xmas and decided to take a gamble. I have a g shock that I paid £250 for a year ago and to be brutally honest its the same build quality at a fraction of the price . A great looking watch with exactly the same build quality as much pricier watches. Am very confident of it putting a massive smile on my sons face come xmas morning when he opens it up. Am very very impressed with my purchase.
The watch mens Casio G-shock alarm chronograph watch G-100-1bvmur. It has a very good face easy to read also in the darke. It also has a very robust looking strap just right if you dont like expanding metal straps.the black face I think makes it easy to see if eyesight is not good .
I had my doubts over weather I should buy this watch because I have small wrists and I always thought of G-Shock watches as being rather large. However I took the plunge and ordered it anyway. It arrived the next day, even though I did not pay for the next day delivery. It comes presented in a nice G-Shock branded tin.
I tried it on and was not disappointed, the size is large on me but it does not look ridiculous as I feared it might. It fits perfectly across the surface of my wrist without hanging over the edges. As G-Shocks go this is on the small side, I have since seen ones that are bigger.
As a timepiece it is top quality, the analogue hands remain luminous throughout the night and the digital display is always at hand although annoyingly the date is in American format. Its easy to set up and it seems to be very durable, standing up to numerous throw-at-wall tests conducted by curious friends.
Previously I have been a wearer of much smaller Casio watches so at first the chunky nature of this one was noticeable. However it has not taken long to become accustomed to it. Its even not uncomfortable to shower with it.
Altogether it feels like a great purchase and I would recommend to anyone who is curious to try out a G-Shock but has a smaller wrist size.

Brillant, solid and great stylish watch. Too often Casio G-Shocks are over designed, without any real benefit. However this watch has the balance between a really useful smart timepiece and rugged piece of design on your wrist. Nothing desparately special in terms of functionality, but equally has everything your need. The light is pretty cool. Just great to wear, makes you feel sporty and tought!
This is my second G-Shock. First is still going strong but is fully digital. I chose this model because I wanted an analogue face with some basic digital features stopwatch, alarm, light.
The watch comes well packaged, wrapped in foam and in its own rather nice metal box. The numbers are a good size and the hands are luminescent in the dark, though not great and do not last through the night. This may be due to lack of exposure to light prior to lights out.
The digital display is dark and, for me, unreadable without using the light. I think this is because the digits are light on a black background rather than the other way around.
Setting the time is simple for both analogue and digital with clear instructions in the manual. This is also true for the other functions. I was pleased to find the instructions were only a few pages and not the usual War and Peace seen with more complicated models.
Criticisms digital display is a let down having to hit the light button to see it. It will impact the battery life.
In summary, Im happy with the watch. Would I recommend it? Yes. G-Shock are value for money and, in my experience wont let you down.

I bought this watch in September. I work in a pub. The poor watch has been bashed, caught on things and subjected to being splashed with various types of liquids. It still keeps perfect time. I would describe it as virtually indestructible. I have worked in pubs for 10 years and have gone through an average one watch a year. This was recommended to me by somebody works in a key/shoe/watch repair shop. I am well impressed and dont think Im going to be able break this one.

Excellent watch which I have worn underwater and whilst out sea kayaking. Just wash the watch off with clean water after being in the sea and it cleans up great! Nice size on your wrist without looking too big. I bought the same model over ten years ago and after many underwater adventures and generally rough treatment it started to fall apart, which is not bad going. I actually paid around the same price then as I did now for the watch, which represents great value!

In my opinion this a brilliant watch and a brilliant make. It is waterproof which makes it more better the delivery was fast it came in 2 days it is digatal and non digtal it lights up it is useful in the dark
The reason why I bought the watch was because I needed a durable waterproof watch which I could use to time myself whilst swimming laps. In that sense, the watch is great. The buttons on the sides are easy to use, and a quick read through the instruction manual allows you to be able to do pretty much anything.
The only critique I would give is that the digital clock is actually quick small and difficult to read when the back light is not on, but if you are prepared for that / dont mind it, then the watch is definitely worth the price.
Good quality watch which is suitable for me in my workplace, it offers all round solid protection against bumps and knocks, the only negative is the strap could do with being an half in bigger on the tightening side.

The watch i purchased was a very bold watch, it was black with red rim and writing and stood out well. The watch fit perfect and is stylish for any occassion, it had different accessories which was perfect as my partner likes a watch to be tacticul. I didnt find any bad points at all about this watch and neither did my partner. He loved it as a gift and i was happy giving it as a gift. The price was welcoming although i dont think i would have liked to pay much more for it. I would say the price was reasonable! This is an extremely good watch. I particularly like the dual time and the fact that the digital display allows you to see the time in the dark unlike analogue watches with a seperate light function. I like the fact that the watch is water resistance especially useful for me as I always forget to take my watch off and especially useful as I dive and snorkel. I like its rugged appearance. One of my favourite features is that it has both digital and analogue displays. For me the alarm feature is essential and the stop watch is a bonus. The light up function will be useful to me on dark winter evenings.

Its comfortable to wear, I dont even notice Im wearing it sometimes, the strap accommodates large and small wrists also.
It has surprisingly useful functions like an alarm, stopwatch and date/ day display, all available to cycle through at the push of a button. The backlight is nice and bright.I am yet to use the dual time function intended to show the time in another time zone, such as New York.
The watch was easy to set up and the instructions were in clear English. Everything is explained, from setting up the watch, to general maintenance, servicing intervals and how to change the and also showing the type of battery.
Comes with warranty and guarantee from Casio, the watch shop delivered it by Tuesday when I ordered it two days before on the Sunday.

A good classic build G-Shock watch. Thankfully the light actually illuminates the LCD unlike the newer versions. Have know doubt this would survive a tour and more like my previous watch.

Bought this watch after trying it in a shop in Newcastle, against another Casio G-Shock. This watch was perfect, and not too bulky. Strong, and smart at the same time. Not overloaded with functions that will never be used. It is perfect for the work place if your job is a little on the rough or heavy side, and ideal for me as a fisherman, boat enthusiast and cyclist. A great buy from Watch Shop, and a saving of £28 from the retail price on the high street.
This is my second G Shock watch and prefer it to a full digital version, only downfall on this watch is setting the time, it has one speed SLOW to get the hands to sweep round to the time you require but thats the only thing I can knock about this watch.
Purchased for use at work. Watch is lightweight, comfortable, easy to read and the light is brilliant. Luminescent hands dont last long in the dark though. Not bulky like most g-shocks. My first g-shock but wont be my last.

I received a G-Shock for Christmas and have not taken it off since. With an easy controlling system, it took me only a few minutes to work out things such as: Setting the Time, Using an alarm and using the stopwatch.
One difficulty i did find was that i did not know how to reset the stopwatch back to zero, however after looking in the manual this problem was solved.
I use it everyday as part of my training schedule and it hasnt let me down yet!
I can also wear it out as the discrete colours fit with practically everything i wear. I have actually been given multiple compliments on it and i expect you will too.

I bought this watch for my son for Christmas as he liked my G Shock. He loves it and the fit although he is only 14 is fine. I find the digital readout difficult to see without the light but it is only a minor issue. Overall I would recommend the watch to my friends.

I bought the watch as a present to my boyfriend and he was over the moon with it and I was also really pleased with my purchase! The watch has glow up hands and the strap on it is really sturdy and although the watch looks heavy its not to heavy or to light. It has loads of different features and the red colour on the watch is a really good look and not to much.

Very nice looking watch , have had a G-Shock before & they are virtually indestructible . No countdown timer on this one & the digital display isnt quite as easy to read as the just digital ones but wanted an anologue one and does look cool .

Against, No sweep second hand, The digital element,for me is unnecessary complication which interferes with the clarity on a quick glance. Not as good as my CASIO 1330 mo-24..

Brought watch for my son which he loves! Great size for teenage boy and looks smart. Specially like all the features and both the analogue and digital display.
Thought light function would illuminate whole watch face so a little disappointed with this.
Think the instructions to set the date, time and alarm are not the easiest and could be made more clear.

This was a Christmas present bought as a first proper watch for an 11 year old grandson with an interest in sport and survival skills, who spends part of his time in UK and part in France.
